OCR: Line breaks and paragraph breaks PageMaker interprets carriage return as the start of a new paragraph. To create line break without starting new paragraph, type Shift Return. The text- entry point will move to the next line but PageMaker will treat it all one paragraph. Line breaks are useful when creating tables that you want kept a one paragraph. The line break character can be imported from and exported to Microsoft Word.
